First runner-up (as Miss New York) at Miss USA 1995. She became Miss USA after the original winner, Chelsi Smith from Texas, won Miss Universe a few months later. Moakler was once engaged to boxing great Oscar de la Hoya, with whom she had a daughter Atiana Cecilia de la Hoya (born March 29, 1999). After relationships with actor Dennis Quaid and rock star Billy Idol, she married Travis Barker, drummer for the band (+44), and formerly of blink-182 and The Transplants. Moakler and Barker starred in the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers, and had two children together - son Landon, (born October 9, 2003) and daughter Alabama (born December 24, 2005). However, on August 8, 2006, Barker filed for divorce from
Moakler.
